Three businesses under one roof, which is why people who have used one of them are often surprised by the other two. We fix appliances, we sell used ones with a warranty, and we sell furniture.

In-home repair

Washers, dryers, refrigerators, ranges, dishwashers and freezers. Most calls are scheduled within two working days.

Used appliances

Reconditioned and tested, sold with a 90 day parts and labor warranty. Delivery and haul-away of the old unit available.

Furniture

New living room, bedroom and dining, ordered from the floor. Delivered inside the house and set up, not left in the driveway.

What usually goes wrong, and roughly what it costs

Every one of these is a real diagnosis, not a category. Parts prices move, so treat the figures as a range rather than a quote, and ask on the phone if the number matters before we come out.

Dryer, no heat

Tumbles fine, clothes come out damp. Usually a thermal fuse or a heating element, and a blocked vent is what killed it.

Washer will not drain

Stops mid cycle with water in the drum. Pump, or a sock in the pump. Front loaders more often than top.

Fridge warm, freezer cold

The single most common call we take. Evaporator fan or a defrost failure icing over the coil. Rarely the compressor.

Ice maker stopped

Water valve, fill tube frozen, or the module. Worth fixing on a good fridge, rarely worth it on a cheap one.

Bakes unevenly or runs hot. Igniter on gas, bake element or sensor on electric.

Labor rates. Parts are billed at cost plus twenty percent and shown on the invoice.

Brands we hold parts for

Holding a part and being able to order one are different things, and the difference is a week.

On the shelf: Whirlpool, Maytag, Amana, Kenmore, GE, Hotpoint, Frigidaire, Roper, Estate, Admiral, Magic Chef, Speed Queen. Ordered, three to seven days: LG, Samsung, Bosch, KitchenAid, Electrolux, Fisher & Paykel. We will not take on: built-in Sub-Zero and Viking, and any sealed system refrigerant work on a unit under warranty, because the manufacturer's own tech has to do it or you lose the coverage.

On the used floor this week

Everything here has been run through a full cycle in the shop and carries a 90 day warranty on parts and labor. Stock moves, so call before driving out.

Whirlpool top load washer, white $285 Heavy duty, no lid lock issues, three years old by the serial. Matching dryer available for $250 or $500 for the pair.
GE electric dryer, white $225 New element fitted here. Cord included, and we will swap it to a three prong at no charge if that is what your house has.
Frigidaire 18 cu ft top freezer $340 Clean, no dents, glass shelves all present. Ice maker not fitted and cannot be added to this model.
Kenmore gas range, 30 inch $310 All four burners and the oven tested. Needs a new anti-tip bracket which we supply and fit as part of the delivery.
Chest freezer, 7 cu ft $180 Small enough for a basement stairwell, which is the reason most people are looking at one.

Floor stock as of 24 July 2026. Delivery inside 15 miles is $45, and we haul the old one away for free when we deliver.

Furniture

Sofas, recliners, bedroom sets, dining sets and mattresses, ordered off the floor and delivered inside the house. Financing is available through the store and the terms are explained in writing before anything is signed.

Where we come

Richmond, Lexington, Orrick, Hardin, Henrietta, Camden, Rayville, Excelsior Springs and Lawson, and out to Carrollton on a Wednesday.

Open 8 to 5 Monday through Friday and 8 to noon on Saturday. Somebody answers the phone during those hours rather than a machine, and if the phone rings out it means both trucks are on a call, so try again in ten minutes.
